Academy of Scoring Arts Board Member

I’m happy to announce that I’ve been nominated to be on the board of the Academy of Scoring Arts, an organization that’s dedicated to the collaboration of musicians, composers and filmmakers! The ASA started back in 2009 when composer Ron Jones (Family Guy, Star Trek Next Generation) had the idea of getting a bunch of composers and musicians together to hang out, look at scores, and “eat spaghetti-Os.” Since then, the organization has grown into monthly Ravel Study Groups around the country and INFOrum seminars with guest speakers and panels that focus on delivering practical advice for the working composer, filmmaker, etc. It’s a great community and I’m excited to join the board!
