Dial 414 Iceland Performance

Dial 414, a concert piece set to abstract animation, will be given its third performance tonight by violinist Eva Ingolf at Mengi in Reykjavik, Iceland! Love international concerts and wish I could go to every one of them! Shoutout to Circuit Bridges for putting this on!

BMI’s Composing for the Screen Program in New York

I’m proud to share that I was one of nine composers selected to participate in BMI’s Composing for the Screen fellowship in New York! This six-week workshop is run out of BMI’s offices at 7 World Trade Center by renowned composer and educator Rick Baitz. Looks like I’m headed to New York! I’m excited for this opportunity and to experience what the city has to offer.

Academy of Scoring Arts Board Member

I’m happy to announce that I’ve been nominated to be on the board of the Academy of Scoring Arts, an organization that’s dedicated to the collaboration of musicians, composers and filmmakers! Dial 414 Selected to be Premiered by Violinist Eva Ingolf

A short, concert piece I wrote was selected to be premiered next week by violinist Eva Ingolf at Gallery MC in New York, with a second performance at Mobias in Cambridge! The concert, called The Round Trip, is put on by Circuit Bridges, an electroacoustic concert series that fosters innovative music by today’s composers. CineramaBC Film Festival

Porcelain is an Official Selection at the CineramaBC Film Festival

Porcelain is an official selection at the CineramaBC Film Festival in Brazil and will be screened this weekend! The festival is held May 29 – June 4 in Balneario Camoriu, a beach resort town in the Santa Caterina state. The curators of the festival seek short and feature films by new or well-known directors which inspire different types of sensitivity. Wish us luck in the final competition!

More momentum for Resurrecting McGinns! We’re excited to announce that the film won Best Drama at the Amsterdam Film Festival Van Gough Awards! “Created to recognize and award films that have potential to move audiences and change perceptions, the Amsterdam Film Festival is devoted to filmmakers whose quest is self-expression and communication.” This is a juried competition with no public screenings… or else I’d be packing my bags!

We’re going international! Resurrecting McGinns is an official selection at the Ottawa North East Film Festival! This festival aims to highlight films and filmmakers from the Northeast North America. Have we mentioned that Resurrecting Mcginns was produced and shot in Chicago? The film will screen on May 23rd at the Bytowne Cinema in Ottawa. Vince Gaffney, the film’s director, will be in attendance.
